Missions Opportunity!!
I have two friends who are doing some awesome stuff that I want to make you aware of.
HOPE: DETROIT
HOPE: DETROIT is an event that couples churches as well as business owners and various retailers to help the hurting of Detroit. They will be providing a meal for the homeless on Thanksgiving Day where his foundation will pass out 100 back packs full of winter supplies. The rest of the pack backs will be passed out on Saturday December 8th. They are currently $7,000 short of their budget goal. A great friend of mine named David Clary is coordinating this event. All money will be used to go directly to the mission. No administrative fee will be taken out.

HOPE: JAMAICA
HOPE: JAMAICA is for the building of a Community Center for hurricane victims in JAMAICA!
Once relief efforts are completed, this building will be turned over to a local pastor to be used as a church!
The initial groundwork for this project has already been laid. The site is being cleared, footings are being dug, supplies have been located, and the price of the materials has already been negotiated. Volunteers have committed to go and purchased their tickets. The workers in the construction crew are ready to travel October 15, 2007.
$3,000 dollars will buy the rest of the materials needed for this project!
Jonathan Travis, pastor of Bible Tabernacle in Clinton, Mississippi, is a good friend of mine who is leading this project. 100% of your contribution goes directly into “the mission.”
